The Havana Eagle Days Festival will be held Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007

The Illinois Raptor Center is proud to be part of the Havana Eagle Days Festival . The event offers eagle watching along the riverfront, eagle art displays, souvenir photos with "Emi" the eagle, educational programs and a pancake breakfast.

Havana, Illinois is a great location for eagle watching on the Illinois River during the winter months.


Eagle watching in Havana is a great way for people to enjoy nature and learn about bald eagles as well as hear about ongoing restoration efforts in the Illinois River valley.

Eagle Festival Information Center

7 a.m. - 1 p.m

1. The Perch: Located at Main and Schrader. Festival Information and maps available.

2. Venue for Illinois Wildlife Photography Show and 2006 Mason & Fulton County Eagle Days Art Festival Competition.

3. Pick up a Festival Passport.



Riverfront Park Activities

8 a.m. - noon

1. Eagle viewing with spotting scopes
2. Clip Clop Cruise - ride a horse-drawn carriage
3. Bellrose Island Nature Trail..."The Unnatural Nature Hike"
4. Illinois Natural History Survey to learn about Illinois River Critters
5. "Emi" pictures 9 - 11 a.m



Breakfast with an Eagle

6 - 10 a.m.

First United Methodist Church. Eagle there from 8-9:30 a.m.



The Riverside Club

8 a.m. - 1 p.m

FREE hot beverages. Other food for sale. Wildlife Prairie State Park from 9:00 a.m. - noon. Restrooms available.



Havana Public Library Two morning shows (times yet to be confirmed) including eagle crafts, stories, and games

Ride the new Havana Trolley between the above stops.
