The Illinois Raptor Center is proud to be a part of:

Meredosia Eagle Watching Days

9 a.m.- dusk Saturday and Sunday. The event is sponsored by the Meredosia historical Society and River Museum.

The Illinois Raptor Center will present a live raptor show at Meredosia High School at 3 p.m. Saturday only. Admission fee $4 for adults. Kids are $1

Event headquarters will be at the Meredosia River Museum on Main Street, which is Highway 104.

The museum is located near the toe of the Illinois River bridge.


An orientation and educational video will be available at the museum. Doughnuts and coffee will be served.


Interpreted bus tours travel to three sites to view eagles. Tours leave from the museum at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The cost is $20 per person or $30 per couple. Children and students are free. Price includes raptor show Saturday at 3 p.m.


Burgoo will be served throughout the day.

For those who prefer to visit at other times, or wish to view eagles on their own outside of a guided tour, Meredosia offers easy public access to the Illinois River. Eagles often can be viewed at a public boat launch just south of the river bridge.
