The Illinois Raptor Center is seeking committed volunteers of all skill levels. From carpentry to office help to animal transport to manning an informational booth; we have plenty of opportunities for volunteers willing to serve their community. Call 217-963-6909 if you can help.

Volunteers may transport an injured animal to the IRC, clean a cage, staff an informational booth, help put on an open house, or any of a dozen other jobs. Senior volunteers, those who have gained extra experience and training, may handle educational birds during programs.

As the IRC continues to grow, the need for volunteers becomes even greater. To reach our goals of educating the public and setting an example of environmental stewardship we need people who are willing to roll up their sleeves and join us.

Our volunteers give countless hours. What they receive is an education about the natural world that is second to none. The work is hard, but the rewards are worth it.
